The best pizza to your taste (12)

Pizza

What would you say if I promised you the best pizza of your life?

What will you ask me?

Where is the restaurant located and what is its name?

What is the name of the best pizza?

I would smile at you and ask:

Do you even know what toppings and dough you prefer on a pizza?

You answer me:

How? You promised me the best pizza of my life…according to my taste!

Well…the best pizza to your taste, is made by yourself. But you need a pizza master to help you make it.

Create your own personal pizza and find out what you like.

The pizza lifestyle model

I would like to use pizza as a figurative bridge for something completely different.

Sit down and think about…, what is really important to you in life?

Then take a piece of paper and draw a pizza without toppings.

Write all the important things on your pizza.

The search for sense

A model like this can help you visualize what you stand for and where you want to go.

It is even better if you represent the pieces in different sizes. Depending on what is more important to you. Be honest with yourself. How important are each of the items really to you?

It is often the case that we find some things extremely important, but in reality we only give them attention. Your pizza could use more toppings here.

Other toppings, on the other hand, are very prevalent. Toppings that we actually don’t want to find on our pizza. Things that we actually find unimportant in our hearts.

The extra pizza

As you can see, there are really many things that come to mind that you like very much.

Therefore, with the really important things, you can create and cover an extra pizza.

It’s a good way to highlight the deeper facets of important points and ask yourself what they mean to you.

Sample pizza model

In the following, I will demonstrate the topic of freedom as a prime example of the pizza model.

Every question you answer raises new possibilities and obstacles.

The deeper you get into your pizza layers, the closer you get to a point where you can set something in motion.

Any process, no matter how complicated, can be broken down into very simple steps.

Buy only from dealers who understand their products

It’s also often the case that you don’t really understand something until you can explain it in simple words. The more figuratively you can put your words, the more accessible you make it for other people.

Albert Einstein once said: „If you can’t explain it simply, you haven’t understood it well enough.

You can use this wisdom when someone is trying to sell you something. If the salesperson cannot explain to you in simple terms how the product works, then the salesperson has not understood the product itself. In other words, it is a coincidence if he sells you a good product.

Social Proof

Let’s stay with the topic of buying and selling. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we usually make our decision based on its relevance to our lives. So if you have a product that triggers a strong relevance for other people, you will have an easier time. However, it’s also important that it doesn’t just pretend to be relevant, but solves a truly relevant problem for the customer.

Relevant problems are potential opportunities for business

So slowly we are getting closer and closer to the core of this exercise. What is relevant for us in life? If you have identified a relevant problem for you, you can start to find solutions. Often good inventions have been created this way. It is easier to identify your own Relevant Problems instead of looking for a Relevant Problem for other people.

You will be surprised how many other people share the same problem with you. So if you solve your Relevant Problems, you can incidentally create a product that you can sell.

You can also use the Pizza Model to come up with new ideas. Often we know much more deep in our subconscious. With models, you can reshape knowledge and link it to other knowledge. This way you can come to completely new conclusions.

Quintessence

Models reflect the approximate reality of our imagination. Models are not the reality, but only an aid. The model that the earth is a disk and that we fall into the void when crossing the disk is a prime example that a model only represents the reality of our imagination.

So there are numerous other models, which have been replaced by other models. Therefore, I always try to look at models objectively. However, I am also aware here that we always view things subjectively to a certain extent. We are human beings and not a machine that functions according to logarithms.

See models as a visual aid to better understand your life and your environment. We humans are specialized on the visual sense. It makes many things more understandable to us if we represent something pictorially.

Use your imagination to represent abstract things visually in a model.

To list another quote from Albert Einstein:

Imagination is more important than knowledge. It is the preview of the coming events of life.

So now it’s time to eat a pizza!

What is your favorite pizza?

Great post. I love the idea of the pizza layers. I agree with freedom, safety, family and friends as being incredibly important. Also for me, work-life balance and continual learning.
